We’re excited and preparing for the holiday markets this weekend! Yep, markets. We’ll be at the Watauga County Farmers Market at Horn in the West from 9 AM until 1 PM, and we’ll also be at the Conover Farmers Market Holiday Fest this Saturday, November 19th from 10 AM to 2 PM. They are promising 40 vendors offering everything you will need for your holiday meal.
You can expect to find a full load of our European-style hearth breads, including breads from France, Poland, and Germany. Also available will be Sourdough Hardrolls, Whole Wheat Sourdough Sticky Buns, Sourdough Croissants & Pain au Chocolat, Savory Chop Blocks, Pumpkin-Apple Bread and Muffins, and an assortment of bagels, including our seasonal pumpkin bagels. Don’t forget to stock up on Cranberry Granola. And don’t forget, you can purchase gift certificates for your friends from Owl Creek Breadworks as well.

This past Saturday was one of those market days you dread. Cold, wet blowing snow, feeling like February instead of October. We lost the display board when it blew over in a gust of wind. Thanks to friends who helped us clean up and salvage. We’re just glad no one was standing in front when it went over. Obviously attendance was down, so the market season went out with more of a whimper than a bang. C’est la vie.
Anyway, THANKS for a fabulous market season this year! We really appreciate you regular customers and to you die-hards that made it out in the snow and bitter cold, we salute you!
